Nneka (Concrete Jungle)

In the words of my favorite African musician ….”Lied to us, blinded slaved us, misplaced us, strengthen us, hardened us then, they replaced us now we got to learn from pain”

The African mentality seems to live in two extremes, we are aware of the pain of slavery and colonialism yet we are also obliged to continue to live in that pain therefore defining our hate. Or else we want to forget the reality of the freedom purchased for us by our fathers. In both cases we fail to take a step towards creating a legacy for our children, we remain in our hate and/or ignorance.
